Facebook's Timeline Things that I can say about the upcoming technology is that things are getting so advanced. Such as Facebook with the new timeline since they introduced it to there 850 million monthly users you are able to know more about a person. The timeline feature is designed to make finding information on a social network easier to find. Also the timeline separates your information in a thing called "life events" which adds tags to help you if you were buying a house or car. What surprised me the most is that Facebook has so many users. Also i was shocked that the advertisements are 85 percent of the revenue. Facebook's data warehouse was adding 625,000 terabytes of compressed data daily by last January. They are saying the timeline is making the real concept of the "permanent record" in a computer form. Possibilities for this feature are that Timeline is making it aware that all the bits and pieces are more than some of the parts. You can suddenly understand the bigness of their own data. If previous spending patterns hold true, much of the company's 2012 capital-expense allocation—more than $1.6 billion—is likely to be devoted to servers and storage devices. In 2009 emerging technology that we use now in 2012 is the intelligent software assistance. Intelligent software assistance are things that are on things such as the iPhone and other kinds of smart phones. It is where you ask the phone a question and it will tell you the answer and if you tell it to remember a date for you it will and then when that date comes it will remind you.
